Elections

The City of Clanton municipal elections fall every four years with our next election scheduled for August of 2025. A mayor and city council are elected from qualified candidates from the city and its five council districts. The city follows election laws set by the Alabama Secretary of State and the Alabama League of Municipalities.

To register to vote in the city of Clanton, you may do so online at https://www.sos.alabama.gov/alabama-votes/voter/register-to-vote or at City Hall in the City Clerk’s office at anytime up to fourteen days before an election.
